The Tree
Rockefeller Center's Christmas Tree has arrived. At 90 feet tall it will make a spectacular New York center piece when it's lit on Dec. 3.

In a bizzare case, a santitation worker was killed in Bensonhurst Brooklyn yesterday when burned by acid in some garbage. When the garbage was being compacted, Michael Hanly, was squirted in the face and inhaled hydroflouric acid.

Elections
The Environmental Bond Act passed. Term Limits was not extended from 8 to 12 years. The referendum to limit campaign contributions to $100 was suspiciously absent from the ballots although it was in the Voter's Guide this election.

New York Marathon
Giacomo Leone of Italy won the annual race in 2 hours, 9.54 minutes. The policeman from Italy took the race by surprise along with Anuta Catuna of Romania. Official Marathon Page
