The suspects have been found guilty and sentenced to as much as life in prison without parole for their roles in planning terrorist activities, including the bombing of the World Trade Center.

One transit worker shot another in an apparent couple's quarrel this morning on the 4-train near the 86th St. station. The man who shot his girlfriend fled to his 111th St. apartment and committed suicide around 10:15am.

The sentencing in the trial of the terrorists involved in the World Trade Center bombing is being handed down today.

The city is quickly recovering from the blizzard that had shut it down. Kids are returning to school on a two-hour delayed schedule. Parking rules are suspended. Most trains are running, but are behind schedule.

Though the worst is over, it's still bad out there. The mayor is recommending that you stay home if possible and to keep the streets clear for emergency vehicles. Most elevated subway lines are not quite running yet.
