Investigators of the TWA Flight 800 accident said that they may have found some new evidence which would lead to the conclusion that a bomb in the front cargo hold destroyed the plane.

A bomb exploded in Atlanta's Olympic Park this Saturday at 1:25 am EDT. The worlds leader have all condemned the act as cowardly and evil. 111 people were injured and one woman died.

Two more New York hospitals have decided to merge. New York Hospital - Cornell Medical Center and Columbia-Presbyterian Hospital plan to merge creating one of the largest not-for-profit health care systems in the country.

New York City announced plans to entice developers to rebuild columbus Circle. The city is looking for a buyer for 2 Columbus Circle and developers to build skyscrapers on the site of the New York Coliseum.

Searchers found a large area of debris from TWA Flight 800 on the ocean floor yesterday. The cause of the explosion is still unknown.

Plans to start an all-girls public high school have been hampered by opposition by the ACLU. The public school hopes to concentrate on areas such as science and math.

Investigators are still examining the crash site for clues in the TWA crash. Speculation includes a bomb, a missile, or an explosion in the engine.

A TWA flight from JFK to Paris exploded over the Atlantic Ocean, off of Long Island last night. Over 200 passengers were on the flight, none are believed to have survived. No known cause for the explosion has been determined.

John Royster pleaded not guilty in four assaults on women, including the Central Park beating.

An underground transformer exploded yesterday. The blast caused six cars to burn. Con Ed officials pronounced the incident as infrequent.

A young man "subway-surfing" atop a No. 2 train, fell to his death after he got hit by a signal light.

Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu, visited Manhattan today. Prime Minister Netanyahu spent yesterday in DC with President Clinton.
Investment brokers and top level management from companies such as Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, Bankers Trust, Price Waterhouse and Bain Capital took a day off and hit the streets to look for a missing person. Melissa Gay, 14, was reported missing after attending a rave last Saturday.

Three women were killed, a fourth, critically injured, and a fifth woman escaped from a brutal attack in a house in South Jamaica, Queens. Police are not sure of the motive behind the attack but drugs may be a factor.

Nurses at Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center went on a 24-hour strike. The nurses are hoping to pressure the administration to drop efforts to hire technicians to do their work. If the hospital does not negotiate a contract soon, nurses have voted to authorize a long-term strike.

Mayor Giuliani has rounded up enough votes to replace Carol Gresser with William Thompson as president of the New York City school board.

A ruptured natural gas pipeline resulted in a fire at Coney Islane, injuring twelve people. A gas leak was reported to have started three hours before the fire.

The victim in the Central Park beating left the hospital for home today. The doctors were suprised at the speedy recovery. She was in a coma for 15 days after the attack.
Crime rates continue to fall sharply in New York for the third straight year.

Beth Israel and Long Island Jewish have announced that they are joining forces. These merger comes two weeks after Mount Sinai and New York University announced their merger.

The Bronx Terminal Market was riddled by a gun battle on Saturday, when officers were trying to apprehend gang members operating out of the city-owned area. One gang member was killed and another was seriously injured.
