Harkness Dance Center

The Harkness Dance Center at the 92nd St. Y offers a wide range of classes for students of all backgrounds and ages including Tap, Swing, Jitterbug & Lindy, Spinal Gymnastics, Modern, Jazz, Israeli Folk Dance, Flamenco, Dance Parties, Ballroom, Ballet, Alexander Technique and Afro-Carribean Dance. Other programs available at the Dance Center include Total Dance Workout, Dance and Movement for Mature Adults, Dance Education and Workshops and Choreolab. For the serious dancer, special workshops with existing choreographers and companies can be taken throughout the year, but one must pre-register for these classes.
