Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade 1995Many New Yorkers brave the cold, wind, and brave the thousands of other New Yorkers who attend Macy's annual Thanksgiving Day Parade. You have to get up mighty early (arrive at 6:30) to get a good spot to see the parade, but you can also check out the amazing setup process the night before. Be sure to show up early (5:30) if you want to see the balloons being blown-up, because this is everyone's chance to get right next the mammoth cartoon characters so the crowds are quite formidable. Most of the balloons aren't inflated until around 10pm, so the best view, and the most crowded comes late.
