Empire State Building

It's no longer the world's tallest skyscraper, but the classic Art Deco architecture and rich history makes the 102-story Empire State Building a must for tourists to see. Built in 1931, the 1,454 foot tall building has two observatories - an exterior observatory on the 86th floor and an interior one on the 102nd floor - from which observers can see up to 80 miles away on a clear day.

Admission

Lobby: free to the general public.

Observatories: $11.00 for adults, $9.00 for military personnel and senior citizens, $6.00 for children under 12 (children under 5 are free).

Security has been tightened recently so leave extra time and make sure to bring a picture ID.
