Laban/Barteneiff Institute of Movement Studies

The Laban/Bartenieff Institute of Movement Studies (LIMS) trains students to observe and study, in-depth, the teachings of Rudolf Laban and Irmgard Bartenieff. Three classes which are prerequisites for the Certificate Program, include an introduction to Laban Movement Analysis, Bartenieff Fundamentals and Anatomy and Kinesiology. One may choose among these three formats of course-work under the Certificate Program: The Year-long Program, The Intensive Program (18 weeks), The Weekend Program (22 weeks). Upon successful completion of the program, students will be conferred the degree of Certified Movement Analyst (CMA). For further information, please contact the Institute or visit their website.
