New York City Running Guide

Central Park

...provides a runners lane which is reserved for runners whether or not cars have access to the road that runs around the whole Park (otherwise known as Park Drive). Some recommended courses in the park include the 1.58-mile jaunt around the Reservoir and a picturesque 1.72-mile route starting at Tavern on the Green along the West Drive, heading south to East Drive, and then circling back west up 72nd Street to where you started.

Another beautiful place to run is Riverside Park, which stretches along the Hudson bank from 72nd to 116th.
