Cinco De Mayo

Happy 5th of May! Cinco de Mayo (Spanish for May 5) is a regional holiday in Mexico, primarily celebrated in the state of Puebla. The Mexicans managed to decisively crush the French, shortly after the Mexican-American War and The Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862 had left Mexico near bankrupt and vulnerable.

The victory represented a significant morale boost to the Mexican army and the Puebla victory came to symbolize unity and pride.

For Cinco de Mayo specials like lamb tacos, lobster nachos and a beef-tongue tostada at all three of its locations will be offering by the kitchen. As well as a trio of flavored margaritas (cantaloupe, blood orange, pineapple-ginger). Toloache 50 will also be hosting mariachi performances throughout the day.
